Not far into the 1983 Spring Semester, Jim Peterson received his first film production 101 assignment. He was to shoot a single roll of super 8 b&w and then project to the class exactly what was shot. Therefore, there could be NO EDITING. Everything had to be ONE TAKE. Jim had no ideas what to do and as usual procrastinated. One Tuesday night, Jim’s roommate, Rob Humphrey, went to St. Louis to a hockey game and did not get back to Carbondale until the wee small hours. It was then that Jim, with the help of Andy Spurgetis and Tim Miller, concocted a rough outline for this movie. Filming would begin bright and early Wednesday Morning – WITHOUT WARNING!
