In Sunday’s study of the Gospel of Mark, Jesus demonstrates his power first by healing Peter’s mother in-law. When the word got out, he then healed the crowds who came to an impromptu healing service in Peter’s home later that evening. Seeing Jesus’ divine authority moved many to embrace him as their Lord and King. But it also stirred up opposition.
