For over a year, artist duo Rowland’s Leaving (Darren Nixon and Rowland Hill) have published weekly videos to Instagram, a shared practice which explores world building, club culture and process-led work. To celebrate the release of their 100th video, you are invited to experience all 100 in-person for the first time in Manchester.
They don’t have 100 screens, but you do.
Darren and Rowland invite you to become a collaborator in a mass act of communal resource-sharing by presenting one of their videos on your phone during the event, enabling everyone present to experience a large body of moving image works simultaneously. Your device will remain with you at all times and there is nothing to prepare; just come along with a charged phone to take part!
The event will also showcase a number of live performance adaptions of the video works on display and will be followed by drinks and music.
