Webinar: Family-Centered Fridays – User-Centered Court Culture

How can courts help build stronger communities where families can grow and thrive? During NCSC’s Family-Centered Fridays webinar series, you can take a deep dive into “All Courts. All Cases. All Communities.”

The series’ first webinar session features Maricopa County (Arizona) Superior Court Judge Bruce R. Cohen leading a discussion on user-centered court culture. Judge Cohen encourages participants to consider how the judicial process can exacerbate trauma for families engaged in custody or child-related proceedings, as well as how to be mindful of the impact exposure to trauma has on judges and court personnel.

Throughout the Family-Centered Fridays webinar series, we will explore ways courts can adopt family-centered practices to foster well-being and stability, reduce delays, and interrupt generational justice involvement.
