Throughout Jesus’ ministry, one remarkable truth stands out: He never imposed Himself upon any of the people He encountered. Jesus recognized the fact that God gave human beings free will and, in doing so, gave them the freedom to choose to abide in the true love of God or continue in another direction. In several instances Jesus is quoted as saying, “As you wish” or “As you choose,” knowing that the choices that are made can be the first step toward change. But when our wishes and choices take precedence over God’s plan for us, the consequences can be destructive. This sermon series will focus on us making the right choices that will help us abide in the true love God offers us.
