On January 29, 2022, Elder Renlund responded to questions on covid vaccines and the first presidency letter at a virtual devotional for women in Kaysville, Utah. This video contains Elder Renlund’s complete answer. I recommend, as did Elder Renlund, that you pray and fast for your own revelation on whether President Nelson is God’s prophet on the earth today. I have done that twice and both times the Lord told me that he was not his prophet. Can the Holy Ghost give those who sincerely pray about this important matter two opposite answers? I don’t believe so.
My summary and commentary is as follows.
1:14 – When ordaining president Nelson, Elder Renlund describes the experience as pentecostal, as he felt a piercing and burning head to toe. Which spirit was he feeling and whose spirit was in that room with them? Was it the spirit of the devil? I believe it was.
4:09 – Elder Renlund tells us to ask this question of the Lord: “What is President Nelson thinking?” He answers this with “he is thinking about how to please the Savior,” “that’s who he cares about” and “that’s who he seeks to please.” Is caring more about Jesus Christ than about the members what the Lord wants from President Nelson? Is this how prophets should perform their mission? I don’t believe it is.
5:02 – Elder Renlund then says, “How does he [president Nelson] take the Savior’s church… and present it back to the Savior, without being blemished or harmed in any way?” How much has he harmed the members by urging them to get the covid vaccinations? To deny the injuries and death these are causing is to deny the truth.
5:40 – After quoting Acts 15 where Peter said “it seemeth good to the Holy Ghost” to take the Gospel to the gentiles, Elder Renlund says, “as it was discussed by the first presidency and quorum of the 12, is it seemed good to the Holy Ghost and to us to send that letter.” I believe they listened to the spirit of the devil.
7:05 – He quotes the handbook about vaccinations. He says whether or not someone is vaccinated is not a temple recommend question and shouldn’t be a point of contention. So why couldn’t they just have quoted the handbook in the letter and leave it at that, without urging the toxic vaccine?
8:25 – Lastly, he teaches not to judge one another in regards to taking the vaccine, but to love the Savior first. He quotes Roman 14:13, “Let us not therefore judge one another anymore.” However, JST Matthew 7:2 states: “Judge not unrighteously… but judge righteous judgment.” I believe we have an obligation to ourselves, others and to the Lord to call out the evil that has been done to the world in regards to these vaccines.

4:09 – El élder Renlund nos dice que le hagamos esta pregunta al Señor: “¿Qué está pensando el presidente Nelson?” Él responde a esto con “está pensando en cómo complacer al Salvador”, “eso es lo que le importa” y “eso es lo que busca complacer”. ¿Es preocuparse más por Jesucristo que por los miembros lo que el Señor quiere del presidente Nelson? ¿Es así como los profetas deben realizar su misión? No creo que lo sea.
5:02 – El élder Renlund dice: “¿Cómo él [el presidente Nelson] toma la iglesia del Salvador… y se la presenta de nuevo al Salvador, sin mancharse ni dañarse de ninguna manera?” ¿Cuánto ha perjudicado a los miembros al instarles a que se vacunen contra el covid? Negar las heridas y muertes que están causando es negar la verdad.
7:05 – Cita el manual sobre vacunas. Él dice que si alguien está vacunado o no, no es una pregunta de recomendación para el templo y no debería ser un punto de discusión. Entonces, ¿por qué no pudieron simplemente haber citado el manual en la carta y dejarlo así, sin instar a la vacuna tóxica?
8:25 – Por último, enseña a no juzgarse unos a otros en cuanto a ponerse la vacuna, sino a amar primero al Salvador.
