Come Before Him in Worship: Open your hands before the Father and take a few moments to actively receive his love, his affection, and his gifts for you. Confess any wrongs and receive God’s compassionate forgiveness. Earnestly push away any thoughts of condemnation or accusation and allow his approval to wash over you. Thank him today by receiving!
Reflect: This is one of many passages that speak of gifts being poured out on individual Christians for the good of the body of Christ. God puts you in a church body for a reason. You have been given something your church body needs. Others have been given gifts you need. If you are not participating in the body, attending, serving, and being served by others, and using your gifts where God leads, both you and your church suffer. It is as we build each other up and strive toward a unity of faith, knowledge of the Son of God and maturity, that we come closer to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ! Find your place in the body so that our churches will be filled with the fullness of Christ!
Respond in Prayer: Father, what gifts have you given me? What makes me unique in your heart and to the world? Holy Spirit, I want to be used by you! Help me to receive the gifts that you have given me for the furtherance of your kingdom. Thank you for giving me a position of honor and purpose in your family. I joyfully offer my life in service to you and to those that you have placed around me.
